Unfollowers Helper connects the Unfollowers web application with the Instagram browser session already open in the user's browser. This Privacy Policy explains what the companion extension and web application access, how that information is used, and the controls available to users.

The product is designed for a narrow purpose: helping users connect their own browser session, scan the accounts they follow, review non-followers, and trigger user-requested unfollow actions.

After explicit user interaction, the extension accesses only the minimum required Instagram session cookies needed for the connection: sessionid, ds_user_id, and csrftoken.

These cookies are used only to establish the connection between the browser extension and the companion web application.

The extension never asks for the user's Instagram username or password, and it does not read or store the user's Instagram password.

The session cookies are passed to the web application so the requested scan and profile/avatar requests can run through the app's required API routes.

The web application uses this information only to provide the product's core functionality: connecting the session, scanning followed accounts, identifying non-followers, displaying scan results, and processing user-requested unfollow actions.

No remote code is executed by the extension. The extension uses its packaged scripts and browser extension APIs to perform the requested workflow.

Cookies are not sold.

Cookie values are used only between the extension, the companion web application, and the application API routes required to perform the actions requested by the user.

The use and transfer of information received by Unfollowers Helper complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. User data is used only to provide or improve the extension's disclosed single purpose and is not used for personalized advertising, creditworthiness decisions, or unrelated purposes.

The developer does not manually inspect Instagram session cookies, scan results, or unfollow activity, except where required by law, necessary to investigate security abuse, or specifically requested by the user for support.

Instagram session information is kept temporarily in the browser tab's session storage for the active app session. It is not stored in a permanent product database.

Scan results and unfollow progress are used for the active user workflow and are not retained as permanent app records.

The extension is limited to the production Unfollowers web application origin and Instagram host permissions required for the requested workflow.

Only the minimum required Instagram session cookies are accessed after explicit user interaction.

Users should keep their browser and extension installation up to date and remove access if they no longer want to use the product.

Users can uninstall or disconnect the extension at any time.

Users can disconnect Instagram inside the web application. Removing the extension stops future cookie access by the extension.

Users can also clear browser session data to remove temporary app session information stored by the web application.
